Livestock Credit Program " A la palabra"

Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2019
Fecha de fin: 01/01/2020

Description

The main objective of the Program was to increase the productivity of small livestock producers, focusing on those owners with up to 35 animal units or 200 beehives. The program provided in-kind support through four components: restocking of the livestock herd, which included the delivery of up to 10 sows and 1 bovine stud or its equivalent in other species such as sheep, goats or pigs, as well as up to 200 beehives; equipment and livestock infrastructure works to improve production facilities; feed supplements for livestock; and technical services that provided advice on health, reproduction, feeding and veterinary services for animals in the production unit. The program was implemented primarily in 14 states of Mexico, with an emphasis on supporting applications submitted by women and small producers in Priority Attention Zones. It established a revolving system of in-kind payment, where beneficiaries had to deliver the first offspring of the sows received, which would be allocated to future beneficiaries.
